Dance, Divine Sole:

Group Movement Gatherings

When I gather to dance it is because I wish to move in the name of something, for something, as something.

It is a wish to honour, through my dancing. To give shape and movement to that which called me to the dance floor.

We often gather aligned with the movements of the sun, moon and stars - and when we do, it is often for a stunning reason. If we do not gather, it is because we have not been called.

Sometimes we dance inside, sometimes we dance outside, sometimes beneath the moon, sometimes the sun – it depends on the reason.

Always, we dance in Honour.

“To dance is to give my Life to that which moves me.”

We do not dance to be good at dance. But we do intend to dance as one: one body, one breath, one beat, one life. Thus, if you have a body with beat and breath, please come dance with us.

Sometimes the movement gatherings are structured, in sequences and segments, organised in partnership or group, guided vocally. Sometimes they are free form, governed by the music alone. Sometimes we dance with props, with intentions, with design. Sometimes in ritual and ceremony, sometimes without - no frills, pure, raw and holy.

We usually ask for a small exchange of $5, but this should not be prohibitive to keen participation.
