Living Wisdom Talks:
Conversations with Everyday Gurus
This talk series explores living wisdom β ancient and emerging β through the voices of people who have walked interesting life paths.
Living wisdom is embodied understanding, built and tested through experience and study, and shared through story.
Across cultures and generations, knowledge has been carried by teachers, traditions, landscapes, and the lived experiences of ordinary people. Some of this wisdom is ancient and ancestral; some is emerging in response to the world we are living in today. It all points toward deeper ways of understanding ourselves, one another, and the systems we are a part of.
Each session in this talk series features a guest speaker sharing insights from their journey, followed by an open Q&A. Our guests are people whose life paths have led them into meaningful inquiry of the human condition β through their upbringing, work, trauma, spiritual exploration, creative practice, or other deep paths of learning.
Through these conversations, we aim to create a space where people can listen, learn, question, and encounter new perspectives, expanding our shared understanding of what it means to live well and wisely in our time.
The Talk Series explores themes such as:
β½ What it means to live a meaningful human life, shared through personal stories and lived experience
β½ Contemplations on the human condition, nature, and spirituality
β½ Reflections on the challenges of our time and how we might respond
β½ Ancestral knowledge and oral traditions
β½ Regenerative, community-centred ways of living
β½ Lost, hidden, and rediscovered knowledges
β½ Cosmic perspectives and the larger questions of existence
Rather than offering fixed answers, these talks open space for curiosity, reflection, and new ways of seeing the world, inviting shared learning and collective growth.
Thank you for attending, we welcome you to share your story!
Our speakers are not necessarily βexpertsβ, as the world would define them. They are real people who have walked interesting, and, in many cases, very challenging life paths. Their experiences have shaped them such that they now carry relevant insight, embodied wisdom and a true testimony of a human life β these are people we might call Everyday Gurus.
