Community Day Retreats:

Connection & Creativity

In today’s modern world, genuine connection, community, and creativity are quietly eroding.

As technology and social media increasingly shape how we interact, many of us spend less time in meaningful, face-to-face connection. We are more digitally connected than ever before, yet many people feel increasingly isolated, divided, and unseen.

Historically, people gathered naturally within shared social spaces — the equivalent of “meeting at the marketplace.” Today, there are fewer embodied, community-oriented gatherings where time and space are intentionally set aside for the simple purpose of coming together, building belonging, learning, and exploring alongside others.

Many of the spaces that do exist are also becoming increasingly exclusive, divided along lines of race, gender, privilege, religious or political beliefs.

At the same time, as artificial intelligence and image-driven digital culture continue to dominate, we risk losing touch with what it truly means to create. The creative process is inherently honest, raw, and revealing — something that carefully curated digital identities won’t survive.

The 3 C’s Day Retreat - Community, Connection & Creativity - has been created to counterbalance these trends toward social atrophy, digital isolation, exclusive grouping, and convenient yet superficial forms of creativity.

It offers a space to slow down, reconnect with ourselves and others, and rediscover the richness of authentic expression, genuine creativity and shared human experience.

This will be an ongoing retreat series with each gathering offering different activities while continuing to explore the 3C’s. Over time, this creates a consistent, recurring space for connection and the building of long-term community.

“Community work is a deep & essential heart work.
Without it, our individual hearts struggle, and the great human heart of the world loses the will to beat on”

Retreats typically look like:

✽ Up to 30 participants for a full-day (8am–4pm) gathering at a venue with nature. A healthy, delicious meal and teas are included.

✽ Cost-effective, inclusive and grassroots, welcoming a diverse group of participants.

✽ Explore the 3 principles of Connection, Creativity and Community through simple, guided activities.

✽ Experience different tools, modalities and embodied practices designed to encourage authentic connection and spark the creative process. While the day is not intended to be therapy, it aims to create space for conversations and experiences that go beyond the superficial.

✽ Intentionally spacious and lightly structured, with the facilitators taking a backseat, allowing participants to lower their guards and for genuine interactions and shared creative experiences to unfold naturally.

We welcome you to join us, to pause, connect, create, and remember what it means to be human in community.

“A day to pause from our busy lives.
To connect authentically with myself.
To meet new people.
To build community in a meaningful way.
To breathe, move & create.
To explore, to feel, to express, & to heal.
To care for ourselves and re-align to what really matters in our lives.
To spend time in nature & eat well.”
